The Norwood Historical Society is the repository of information about Norwood's history and is headquartered in the F. Holland Day House, the first structure in Norwood to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Founded in 1907, the goals and objectives of the Norwood Historical Society are:
- Maintaining the F. Holland Day Historic House Museum;
- Collecting and preserving objects, artifacts, documents, photographs and memorabilia which relate to Norwood's history;
- Conducting educational programs, special events and outreach;
- Encouraging and promoting historical research and publications; and,
- Serving as a resource for the preservation of local history.
